• fudgets-201103.tar.gz (fudgets-0.18.2)

  • A Cabal package containing a snapshot of Fudgets that compiles with at least ghc-7.6.3, ghc-7.10.2, ghc-8.4.4, ghc-8.6.5 and ghc-8.10.1.
  • It no longer depends on hbc-library, so a simple cabal install command should be enough to install it.
  • GenDoc, the program that generates the documentation, has been revived and the Fudget Library Reference Manual has been updated to match the current sources.
  • Various cleanup and fixes. Removed some obsolete modules.

• fudgets-170827.tar.gz (fudgets-0.17)

  • Tested with GHC 7.6.3, GHC 7.10.3, GHC 8.0.2 and GHC 8.2.1.
  • SpaceInvaders is now a more complete game.
  • Revived some more demos: FudPaint, Life, Tiles, XMine.
  • Added appStorageF for easy access to persistent application data.
  • Added the RandomHBC module to hbc_library.
  • Added class Move a where move :: Point -> a -> a
  • Eliminated the dependecy on the old packedstring package, by introducing a fake PackedString type. (PackedString will probably be removed completely in a future version.)
  • Workaround for a GHC bug that caused XCopyPlane to crash on 64-bit systems.

• fudgets-160113.tar.gz (fudgets-0.16)

  • fudgets.cabal has been added for easy installation with Cabal. Assuming you have installed the Haskell Platform and have run cabal update, the following should work:

    tar xf fudgets-160113.tar.gz
cd Fudgets/hsrc/hbc_library
cabal install
cd ../..
cabal install

  • It compiles with at least GHC 7.10.2, GHC 7.8.3, GHC 7.6.3, GHC 7.4.2 and GHC 6.12.3. It no longer depends on the Haskell 98 libraries.
  • It seems to work fine on 32-bit Linux systems. Most things work on Mac OS X too.
  • Some bugs with Xlib calls on 64 bit-systems have been fixed, but there might be more.

• fudgets-131118.tar.gz

  • fudgets.cabal has been added for easy installation with Cabal. Assuming you have installed the Haskell Platform and have run cabal update, the following should work:

  • It compiles with GHC 7.4.1 and GHC 7.6.3. You can also use GHC 6.12.1 if you replace the last line with cabal install -foldhaskell98.

• fudgets-051204-hmake.src.tar.gz

  • Quick fixes to compile Fudgets with GHC 6.4.x. This version requires hmake for compilation of the library and client applications. A new wrapper script ghcxhmake for compiling applications is provided. (The reason hmake is used is that Fudgets has not yet been updated to work with the GHC 6.4 package system, so ghc --make can't be used.)
