Fudgets

Fudgets is primarily a Graphical User Interface Toolkit for the functional programming language Haskell and the X Windows system. Fudgets also makes it easy to create client/server applications that communicate via the Internet.

Most of the work on Fudgets was done in 1991-1996, but Fudgets are still maintained, and snapshots of recent versions are available for download.

The Fudgets System was developed by Thomas Hallgren and Magnus Carlsson. It was in part funded by NUTEK within the research programme Programvaruteknik (Programming Systems and Software Engineering).

An FPCA-93 paper became the first published description of Fudgets. In March 1998, Magnus and Thomas completed a joint Phd thesis, which is still the most comprehensive description of Fudgets.
